Why isn't my mucocitus getting better?
I am in the hospital doing a stem cell transplant and i'm already transplant day +14. I am doing an auto stem cell transplant and my white blood cells are up to 10,000. They started going up around day +8. The only thing that hasn't gotten better is my mucocitus. My mouth and throat are still in a lot of pain and it's very painful to swallow. I tell the doctors everyday that my throat hurts the same and it's not getting better. I don't know what to do they keep telling me a couple more days a couple more days and it never heals. What is going on with my throat? My other doctor said I might have a throat infection that is causing the pain. He said either candida or herpes. I'm a virgin and i've never done oral or had oral done to me so is there any possible way it could be herpes. I've only kissed a guy and he didn't have any cold sores and that was over a year ago the last time I kissed someone. So I don't really see how it could be herpes. Is herpes really possible? What is wrong with my throat?
