My bf was diagnosed with Candida?? Anyone know how to cure it? anything to make it go away?!?

Few months ago he began to notice red dots on his penis... so he went to the doctor and was given an antibiotic for his yeast infection, but that made it worse..Doctor told him he has Candida (fungal yeast infection) and gave him a cream and it seems to help but doesn't make it go away completely because the dots and the discomfort keep coming back. Anyone know of anything to make this go away for good. Any information would help!
