What happens when you have Oral Thrush?

I Was taking Doxicycline from March 18 through March 27 for acute bronchitis. The treatment worked but then i started to experience dryness in my mouth and bad taste and then i saw a yellowish coating on my tongue. I was so scared so then i brushed it off yesterday and today and the candida is not in my tongue anymore and not too much dryness but i still a weird taste in my mouth. I went to the hospital yesterday ( since i dont have insurance ) and the ER doctor prescribed me nystatin oral suspension but i am afraid to take it since i was just out of antibiotics. I'm just worried, feeling alone and very stressed out and all i want is for this to be all over and i could be myself again.
