Can bacterial vaginosis and a yeast infection cause a high white blood cell count?
I went to the doctor today because I thought I had a yeast infection. I've been meaning to get a comprehensive STD test for a while so I figured I might as well just take care of two birds with one stone and get tested for both. As it turns out I have bv and candida, and my doctor also gave me medication for chlamydia. She did this because there were white blood cells present, but she said the white blood yells could be there for the yeast infection. I won't know for sure if I have chlamydia too until i get the test back in a week. Is it more likely that the white blood cells are there for the yeast infection or chlamydia?
